Connecting Stripe

Open Payments from your organiser dashboard to check your Stripe connection and complete any setup requested.

Start the connection or onboarding option shown in MEL.
Follow Stripe's steps using the correct account for your organising business or activity.
Supply requested details directly to Stripe.
Return to MEL and check the payment readiness message.
Resolve any outstanding requirement before relying on paid sales or payouts.

A connected account may still need attention. Check what the status says about accepting payments and receiving payouts rather than assuming both are ready.

Do not send identity documents, bank login details or passwords in a support message. MEL support can help with the connection flow; Stripe handles its account verification.

How ticket payments work

MEL records the booking, while Stripe processes the payment for the organiser. A ticket order, a Stripe payment and a bank payout are separate records.

MEL fees and Stripe fees

Check the fees and final total shown for the booking or payment you are reviewing. Do not assume ticket fees and extras fees are the same.

Payment disputes and chargebacks

A payment dispute is raised through the buyer's bank or card issuer. It is a different process from a refund request in MEL.
