How ticket payments work

MEL records the booking, while Stripe processes the payment for the organiser. A ticket order, a Stripe payment and a bank payout are separate records.

Follow a sale

Open the event's Orders page to check what was bought and the order status.
Use the organiser's Payments area to review the connected payment account.
Check Stripe for the payment, fees and any refund or dispute.
Check the Stripe payout record to see money sent to the bank.

A completed order does not mean its money has already reached the bank. Gross sales do not equal the bank deposit once fees, refunds and other balance movements are taken into account.

Contact MEL support about a booking or a mismatch in MEL's records. Check Stripe for its verification requests, payment processing or bank payout information.

Open Payments from your organiser dashboard to check your Stripe connection and complete any setup requested.

MEL fees and Stripe fees

Check the fees and final total shown for the booking or payment you are reviewing. Do not assume ticket fees and extras fees are the same.

My bank shows a payment, but I have no booking

Check your booking before trying to pay again. A bank entry on its own does not confirm that MEL has completed your booking.
